Submission and Peer Review Process

Thank you for considering Veterinary Science Reports for your submission. All new manuscripts should be via submission section in the https://vetscireports.com. For technical support editor@vetscireports.com.

 

Manuscript Categories and Requirements

  • Original Articles: Up to 7,000 words (including figures, tables, and references)
  • Review Articles: Up to 7,000 words (including figures, tables, and references)
  • Short Communications: Up to 3,500 words (including figures, tables, and references); subject to expedited review

Authors concerned about exceeding word limits should contact the Editorial Office before submission.

Preparing Your Submission

Manuscripts can be submitted as a single document or with tables and figures in separate files. Required files are Tittle page, Main document, Figures, Ethical Approval, and Similarity Report. Title page and Main document Files should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Figures can be also added into the text with high resolution.

Submission Format

  • Manuscripts must be double-spaced and use a Times New Roman 12-point font with leaning on either side of the word file.
  • Constant line number should be added in the main document
  • Subtitles should be numbered (i.e. 1. Introduction, 2. Material and Methos, 2.1. Animals etc…).
  • Main document should contain, Abstract, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, Tables (each in separate page), Figure Legends

Title Page should include:

  • A concise, informative title without abbreviations
  • Full names of authors and their institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding Author’s name and e-mail
  • Acknowledgements
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Author Contribution
  • Ethical Statement
  • ORCID’s of the authors

Main Document should include:

  • Tittle, abstract and keywords
  • Main text
  • References (Alphabetical order)
  • Tables (with titles and footnotes)
  • Figures (with legends below each image and a compiled list in the text. It should be least 300 dpi)

Reference Style

The journal follows the American Psychological Association (APA) reference style. Authors should review the style guidelines before submission. Citation rank should be carried out based on publication year in the text (i.e. Bazer et al. 2009; Koca et al. 2023; Turgut et al. 2024).

General Style Points

  • Abbreviations: Use abbreviations only when necessary and define them upon first mention.
  • Units of Measurement: Use SI or SI-derived units. Visit the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM) website for more details.
  • Trade Names: Use generic names for chemical substances and drugs. If mentioning proprietary drugs, include the generic name, proprietary name, manufacturer, and location in parentheses.
